With over 25 years of experience in endurance racing, training and running have truly become a way of life for Phil. His trail racing journey began in 2012 when he and his wife, Grace, founded the Dirty Feet Trail Race Series in Kamloops. After six years of passionate training and competing in ultra trail races, they chose to become certified running coaches—not just to enhance their own skills but to inspire others to enjoy running and improve their form.
After more than a decade of racing ultramarathons, Phil has mastered his training strategy. He has made significant adjustments that have transformed him into a more efficient runner, allowing him to compete in major ultramarathons without the excessive hours he once dedicated during the early stages of his running career. Phil's evolution in training underscores his dedication to the sport and the continuous pursuit of excellence.
